First Sunday Program: Iske: Blackhawk Helicopter Program

 

First Sunday program beginning at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Nodaway Valley Historical Museum, 1600 South 16th St., in Clarinda.

Experiences of a helicopter pilot will be recounted during the. The featured speaker will be Marty Iske of Clarinda. He flew Blackhawk helicopters while in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Iraq. After leaving the military, he has been a pilot for the helicopter that provides air ambulance services from the Clarinda Regional Health Center. He is currently regional aviation manager for Air Methods, with which the CRHC is affiliated.

  Following Iske’s presentation, refreshments will be served and the museum will be open until 4 p.m. for visitors to view exhibits.
